The success of any international move depends greatly on the skilful packing and organisation of our operative personnel; these are the people that will spend most time in your home. We pride ourselves on having a stable and long-serving staff of the finest export packers in the moving business. Their expert work will be in line with our first class 'fine art and antiques' export packing standard, applied to all our international moves.*
For overseas removals or when storage is required, your furniture will be export wrapped. We use specially manufactured strong 6-ply Kraft paper blankets; these are unbleached and interwoven with layers of globular paper to create a cushioned protective barrier which is formed and sealed around the furniture item; crucial for overseas removals. An additional outer layer of card may also be applied to selected areas such as table-tops, exposed corners and edges.
And, if you are moving locally, intra-country or within Europe, directly from one residence to another, we also offer a standard 'euro-wrap' option; furniture and large items are padded and protected on the removal vehicle with special woollen remover's blankets. This saves both time and cost.
Your precious ornaments, china, glassware, works of art, as well as books and personal effects, are packed with meticulous care and best quality inner-packing materials into suitable cardboard cartons. Clothes are packed into special wardrobe boxes, suitable for both folded clothes and linen from drawers, whilst suits, dresses and hanging garments can be packed into specially-made hanging cartons, direct from your wardrobe.
All our cardboard and paper materials are produced from sustainable resources; they are recyclable, non-bleached and bio-degradable. Timber, where it is used for shipping cases, crates and other applications, is treated and certified to meet international standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs) in accordance with the requirements of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) adopted by many countries.
*Fine art and antiques packing standard: Our export packing standard has evolved through 150 years of export packing, ensuring the best combination of materials and packing techniques are applied to each and every item in the home.
